LIFELINE, by Kat Sayegh
LIFELINE, a solo exhibition by Kat Sayegh, is on display in the Mooney Center Gallery from February 21 to March 15, 2015. An opening reception was held February 21 from 2 to 5 p.m.
LIFELINE explores ideas of symbiotic connections, but also the impermanence of those relationships. The installation consists of acrylic paintings that are ripped and cut, and have a palette inspired by wounds and bruises as they heal, nerve-like forms created from wire, and a cage-like structure at the center of the space. These concepts are influenced by the emotions of the subconscious.
This is Kat Sayegh’s first solo exhibition. She was born and raised in New Rochelle, and is currently a senior at The College of New Rochelle. She will be graduating in May with a B.F.A in Studio Art.
