Winter 2012 Graduate Art Exhibit
Students and faculty in the Graduate School’s Division of Art & Communication Studies are showing their work, produced in the summer and fall, in the Mooney Center Gallery from December 6 to December 18.
More than 25 artists will be showcasing over 30 pieces of art. Highlighting this exhibit are marionettes created by students in Psychology of Art Materials, taught by Professor Robert Wolf. Marionettes reflect the personality and creativity of each art therapy student and capture the imagination of the person who bring them to “life”. In addition, the exhibit includes intriguing ceramic sculpture, abstract and realistic paintings, a stunning stone sculpture, and arresting monoprints by Graduate School students and faculty.
The exhibit will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday. A closing reception, free and open to the public, takes place at the gallery December 18, from 3:45 to 6:45 p.m.
