Gordon A. Parks Gallery
(UPDATE MARCH 2014: Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Gordon Parks Gallery is closed until further notice.)
Established in 1991, the Gordon A. Parks Gallery & Cultural Arts Center reflects the diverse interests of renowned photographer, filmmaker, and writer Gordon Parks.
The Center, located on the ground floor of the School of New Resources John Cardinal O’Connor Campus in the South Bronx, serves both campus and community through a variety of multicultural activities, including art exhibits, lectures, poetry readings, and musical events. Exhibitions held in this space are often featured on the Bronx Council on the Arts’ Culture Trolley, which visits multiple art spaces in the area on the first Wednesday of each month.
Gordon Parks Gallery is not-for-profit; commission on sold works is 25 percent. For each show Gordon Parks Gallery produces promotional materials (four-color card and brochure, email invite, press release, etc.), holds a public reception and related events, and assists with shipping fees.
